Description
A splendid pair of vintage Art Deco single beds in mahogany by Staples dating from circa 1930s. The headboards and footboards have a cloud shaped design and stand on square tapered feet and are in beautifully figured mahogany veneers. With makers labels to the headboard foot rails which read: “Made by Staples & Co Ltd by Royal Warrant. Wire mattress and bedstead manufacturers to His Majesty the King.” A stylish good quality pair of single beds; they feature two headboards, two footboards and four side irons. Provided with a pair of slatted bases so all you need to do is add your own standard UK size single mattresses on top.

Good condition. Beautiful patina and good colour. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Some staining to one of the beds headboards (see photos).
