Description
A handsome antique Edwardian oak large single bed (3ft 6 Wide) bed dating from circa 1910. In a richly figured oak, the headboard and footboard with attractive carving to the top rails flanked by barley twist supports and with beaded detailing to the fronts. It has a Vono frame which is easily assembled or dis-assembled. Good warm patina and colour to the frame. Comprising of a headboard, footboard and iron rails and complete with a pine slatted bed base which make a very solid bed (no mattress or bedding included).
Measuring 107cm by 190cm, a wide single bed is the same length as a standard UK 3ft single bed, but 17cm wider, giving a slightly roomier sleep. These mattress are available from some larger mattress suppliers as well as some online mattress suppliers.

Good colour and patina. Wear and marks commensurate with age. There are some filled holes to the frame and some small gaps along the joints of the panels which have shrunk over time.
